PROFILE

  • MSc or PhD in Electrical Engineering or similar, ideally with 1 year width hands-on component level RF circuit design experience. Experience using and knowledge of RF test equipment and methods.
  • Languages: It is mandatory that the candidates are capable to speak, write and read in English.
  • Must be flexible, innovative and have the ability to prioritize in a fast paced, growth-oriented and time-critical environment. Also, familiar with consumer electronics design process and cycle times.

What will be your role

The RF Engineer position is oriented to fabricate, troubleshoot, and test prototypes, while to document designs and write test procedures and reports. He or she will also define the requirements and establish the design criteria to identify the network planning tools to use and the required databases. The selected candidate will report directly to the CEO and the Technology Manager. The job opportunity is ideal for those that pursuit a career in Product Development.

  1. Technical knowledge: 802.11 Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and Zigbee/RF4CE two way radio designs; Use of automated test environments such as Labview and Matlab to support RF testing.
  2. Deliverables: The RF Engineer will be responsible to produce and generate documentation that support in-house Product Development.

PROFILE

  • Frequency of a Master's degree in Nanotechnology, Microelectronics, Materials Science or Chemical Engineering.
  • Availability to perform the experimental work in Lisbon (Portugal). Great interest in product-oriented R&D and prototyping activities. Will be benefited candidates who master one of the following programming languages: Matlab, Python or C/C++.
  • Interest in a future job opportunity by Mater Dynamics, with the goal to be hired for our R&D team in the future.

What will be your role

The internship position for Technology Developer will interact continuously with the CEO and Technology Manager. This internship opportunity aims to insert the selected candidate into one of the main research pillars of Mater Dynamics: passive communication . Thus, there is the real interest in establishing a long-term relationship. The selected candidate is expected to have the following responsibilities:

  1. Planning and execution: Participation in the discussion through suggestions of experimental procedures in line with the Mater Dynamics’s R&D strategy. Execution of assigned research activities. Drafting documentation in its own format for internal reference. Assistance in the construction of devices and systems for measurement and analysis.
  2. Documentation and follow-up: Participation in meetings for results sharing, with periodic reports on the development of the tasks performed. Sense of responsibility about the formalities of the academic institution of origin.
